How to prepare for your first ENT appointment:
When you call to make an appointment, ask if there is anything you need to prepare for the visit. Make a note of what is instructed by the staff member.
It is usually advised to write down all of your symptoms, even if they seem unrelated to your immediate problem. Also, make a note as to how long you have had the symptoms, and what conditions may make them better or worse. In addition, bring a list of any current medications and dosages, including vitamins and supplements. This information will help the doctor rule out any negative interactions between medications.
Being prepared allows you to answer the doctor’s questions in detail, which in turn will help the doctor to diagnose and treat your condition accurately.
